Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of InstantSubtitles software and related services at instantsubtitles.cc. By installing or purchasing, you agree to these terms.
License grant
When you purchase a license, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the current and future 0.x versions of InstantSubtitles on up to two (2) active computers at a time, subject to activation limits (currently two activations per calendar month per key).
You may not redistribute the installer, crack license checks, or resell keys without written permission.
Trial
Unlicensed installs get unlimited Generate. Export trial is limited to 10 hard burn-in exports (max 30 seconds each), as shown in the app. Soft mux, SRT export, and full-length burn-in require a paid license.
Payment & delivery
Price is $12.99 USD one-time unless otherwise stated on the buy page. PayPal is the payment processor. License keys are delivered by email after we verify payment — typically within one business day.
Refunds
Because the product is downloadable software, refunds are evaluated case by case. Contact nathan@petralian.com with your PayPal transaction ID. If a refund is issued, your license may be revoked.
Support & seat reset
License resets and seat clears are handled manually via email — not self-serve in the app. See Help.
Updates
We may ship bug fixes and features. Critical security issues will be addressed in good faith. There is no guaranteed SLA for hobby/small-business software.
Your content
You retain all rights to videos and subtitles you create. You are responsible for having permission to transcribe and publish the underlying media.

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE, INCLUDING LOST DATA — BACK UP PROJECTS AND MASTERS.
Transcription accuracy depends on audio quality, model choice, and language. Review captions before publishing.
Third-party components
The app bundles or invokes open-source components (including whisper.cpp, FFmpeg, and others). Their licenses apply to those components.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the seller’s jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
